You can change the look of this terracotta purely by the amount of treatment you use. The more you use the deeper the appearance. Some people are a little frightened to use terracotta when they see it untreated, but you only have to look here to see how wonderful it looks. It has been known for people to spend hundreds of pounds in buying terracotta from old cottages. They actually have to pay people to dig up the floor and relay it in their houses.
